Availability and purpose
Office is Coming Soon. The immersive canvas and its navigation are a roadmap preview until the spatial workspace, employee movement, and interactive tool paths are stable end to end.
The Office is a two-dimensional workplace view inside the Pulse extension. It is designed to make roles, departments, activity, and current focus easier to understand spatially. The preview includes a canvas, employee sprites, a heads-up display, a department directory, movement hints, a minimap, and an employee detail panel.
The visual scene supplements Workforce and Workday. It does not replace their durable role and task records.
Navigating the spatial workspace
The main canvas renders the workplace floor plan and its visible employees. Movement hints show the intended keyboard controls, while the minimap and department directory provide alternate orientation.
Departments are represented as zones such as communal and role-specific areas. Their position is a navigation aid, not an authorization boundary. An employee shown in a department still operates according to the role, duty, and workspace rules defined elsewhere.
The page requests current office data from the extension host and can refresh while visible. A rendered sprite means that an employee record was represented; it does not prove that an agent is actively working.
Employee status and inspection
Selecting an employee opens a detail panel with identity, department, status, and current focus. The planned actions include messaging the employee or opening the employee's office.
Status labels such as active, thinking, or idle are transient context. Confirm active work against the Workday session and board item before interrupting, assigning, or judging progress.
The Open office action leads toward the role-specific Employee Office dossier. That nested surface is also a preview. Its duties, schedules, and tools must be verified separately before they can be treated as live controls.
Asset and data boundaries
The Office depends on a background image, sprite images, optional collision data, and an optional wall overlay. The page preloads those assets and falls back when optional layers are unavailable.
Missing media can make the scene incomplete even when the underlying workforce data is intact. Likewise, an empty agent list can reflect delayed host data rather than an empty organization.
The preview should never expose private workspace content in a public screenshot. Before sharing an image, inspect employee names, current focus text, department labels, and any visible activity detail.
When the Office looks wrong
If the canvas is blank, reopen the page and confirm the installed package contains the office background and sprite assets. If movement or collision behaves unexpectedly, reset the view before continuing.
If the employee count stays at zero, compare the Workforce page with the Office after a reload. Do not create duplicate roles to populate the scene.
If employee status or current focus disagrees with Workday, use the board and active Workday records as the source of truth. Capture the visible discrepancy, redact private names or tasks, and use the review path.
